1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and PlanSama (“PlanSama,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to plansama.com and the meal-planning tools, recipes, planning packs, shopping lists, prep timelines, budget features, content, and related services we make available (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, generating a plan, or purchasing a PlanSama product, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Additional terms presented at checkout, inside a particular planning pack, or alongside a specific feature also apply to that purchase or feature. If those additional terms conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms control for that product or feature.
2. What PlanSama provides
PlanSama is a meal-planning and organization tool. Depending on the features available to you, the Service may help you choose dishes, adjust portions, organize ingredients, estimate quantities and costs, create shopping lists, build preparation timelines, track tasks, and view cooking guidance.
The Service is designed to make planning easier. It does not purchase groceries, inspect products, supervise food preparation, control your kitchen, or guarantee the result of a recipe or event.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account, make a purchase, or enter into these Terms. A younger person may use PlanSama only under the active supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for that use.
When an account is required, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you notify us promptly that it has been accessed without permission.
You may not sell, transfer, share for commercial use, or create accounts through automated or deceptive means. We may ask you to verify account or purchase information when reasonably necessary to protect the Service or respond to a support request.
4. Your planning information
PlanSama’s recommendations depend on the information you provide, including guest count, serving time, selected dishes, dietary preferences, stated allergies, budget, kitchen experience, available equipment, and changes you make to a plan.
You are responsible for checking that your inputs are complete and accurate. Before shopping, cooking, serving, or spending money, review the final menu, ingredient quantities, substitutions, task schedule, equipment needs, and any information that may affect safety or suitability.
A plan can become inaccurate when you change recipes outside PlanSama, use products with different package sizes, add unrecorded guests, substitute ingredients, change the serving time, or skip preparation steps. Update or recalculate the plan where possible and use reasonable judgment when circumstances change.
5. Dietary and medical disclaimer
PlanSama provides general food, recipe, and planning information. It does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, emergency advice, or personalized advice from a physician, registered dietitian, allergist, nutritionist, or other licensed professional.
References to dietary styles, nutrition, wellness, calories, nutrients, ingredients, or possible substitutions are informational only. They are not a promise that a meal is medically appropriate for you or another person.
Speak with a qualified professional before relying on a meal plan for a medical condition, pregnancy, infant feeding, eating disorder recovery, prescribed diet, severe allergy, metabolic condition, medication interaction, or any other situation requiring individualized care. Do not delay or disregard professional advice because of information provided through PlanSama.
Emergency situations: PlanSama is not an emergency service. If someone may be experiencing a serious allergic reaction, food poisoning, choking, or another medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
6. Allergies and ingredient safety
Dietary tags, filters, ingredient lists, and substitution suggestions are planning aids. They may not identify every allergen, intolerance, ingredient derivative, manufacturing risk, preparation risk, or source of cross-contact.
Product ingredients and manufacturing practices can change without notice. Always read the current label and allergen statement on every packaged product, verify ingredients obtained from a retailer or restaurant, and contact the manufacturer when the information is unclear.
You are responsible for preventing cross-contact in your kitchen, including through shared utensils, cutting boards, cookware, appliances, storage containers, serving tools, oils, surfaces, and hands. A recipe described as “free from,” “friendly,” “vegetarian,” “vegan,” “gluten-free,” or similar may become unsuitable based on the exact products and preparation methods you use.
When feeding someone with a serious allergy or intolerance, confirm their requirements directly and do not rely solely on a PlanSama label, filter, recommendation, or substitution.
7. Cooking and food safety
You are responsible for using clean equipment, suitable ingredients, safe water, proper storage, appropriate thawing and reheating methods, and reliable food-temperature practices. Follow the product label, appliance instructions, and current food-safety guidance applicable where you live.
Cooking times are estimates. Actual time can vary because of ingredient size, starting temperature, altitude, cookware, oven calibration, appliance power, recipe substitutions, and other conditions. Use an appropriate food thermometer and visual checks rather than relying on time alone when food safety is involved.
Do not use ingredients that appear spoiled, contaminated, damaged, improperly stored, recalled, or unsafe. You are responsible for checking product recalls and deciding whether leftovers or prepared foods have been stored safely.
8. Estimates and recommendations
Guest portions, ingredient quantities, nutrition values, shopping totals, preparation times, equipment capacity, serving schedules, and budget projections are estimates. They may be generated from standard assumptions and may not match every appetite, product, retailer, recipe variation, kitchen, or event.
Prices and budgets
Grocery prices vary by location, retailer, brand, season, availability, taxes, delivery charges, promotions, and package size. PlanSama does not guarantee that items will be available or that your final spending will remain within a stated budget.
Nutrition information
Any nutrition figures are approximate and can change based on brands, portions, preparation methods, substitutions, discarded ingredients, and calculation sources. Do not use estimated nutrition figures for medical dosing or another purpose that requires clinical accuracy.
Timelines
Prep schedules are organizational suggestions, not guarantees that every task or dish will finish at a particular time. Leave reasonable buffer time and adjust for your experience, equipment, kitchen space, and the number of people helping.
9. Purchases and billing
Some planning packs, features, downloads, or services may require payment. The price, currency, access period, included features, and whether a purchase is one-time or recurring will be shown before you complete payment.
You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the displayed amount, including any clearly disclosed taxes or fees. Payment processing may be handled by a third-party provider under its own terms and privacy practices. PlanSama does not require you to send full payment-card details by email.
If a product renews automatically, the renewal timing, price or pricing method, and cancellation instructions will be presented before purchase. You may cancel future renewals using the method made available in your account or purchase confirmation. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically create a refund for a period already paid for, except where required by law or stated otherwise at checkout.
Taxes, exchange rates, bank charges, or payment-provider fees may affect the final amount charged. You are responsible for charges imposed by your financial institution or payment provider.
10. Refund requests
Refund eligibility depends on the product, the terms shown at checkout, the nature of the request, whether digital content or paid features have been accessed, and any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
To request a refund or report a duplicate or incorrect charge, email [email protected]. Include the email used at checkout, the order or transaction reference, the purchase date, and a brief explanation. Do not send full card details.
Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. When a refund is approved, it is normally returned to the original payment method. Processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
11. Your right to use PlanSama
Subject to these Terms and any applicable payment, PlanSama grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service and the planning content made available to you.
You may use your plans, shopping lists, timelines, and purchased materials for personal household use and for private meals or events you are organizing. You may print or save reasonable copies for that purpose.
This license does not allow you to resell, publish, sublicense, redistribute, upload as a competing resource, create a commercial recipe database from, or otherwise commercially exploit PlanSama content without our written permission.
12. Ownership and intellectual property
PlanSama and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design, branding, text, recipes, photographs, illustrations, planning systems, calculations, templates, organization, and other original content, except for material clearly identified as belonging to someone else.
“PlanSama,” associated logos, product names, and visual elements may be protected by trademark and other laws. No right or license is granted except the limited permission expressly stated in these Terms.
You may not remove copyright, trademark, attribution, or other ownership notices from PlanSama materials.
13. Feedback and submissions
You retain ownership of information and original material you submit through the Service. You give PlanSama permission to host, process, reproduce, and use that material only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If you voluntarily send suggestions, feature ideas, corrections, or other feedback, you agree that we may use it without restriction or payment to you. This does not give us ownership of your private meal plans or personal information.
Do not submit material that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, deceptive, confidential to another person, or that you do not have permission to share.
14. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive activity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, source code, data, or restricted areas.
- Interfere with the Service, introduce malware, overload infrastructure, or bypass security or usage limits.
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, or extract content or data at scale without written permission.
- Use automated systems to create accounts, generate excessive requests, or reproduce the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover non-public components except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, or use another person’s account or payment information without permission.
- Resell access, share paid content publicly, or use PlanSama to build or train a competing commercial product without written permission.
- Upload content that infringes rights, contains malicious code, or exposes another person’s sensitive information without authorization.
15. Third-party services and links
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, such as payment processors, hosting providers, analytics tools, email platforms, retailers, recipe sources, mapping services, or external websites.
Third-party services are controlled by their respective providers and may have separate terms, prices, availability, and privacy practices. PlanSama is not responsible for third-party products, websites, content, security, conduct, or transactions merely because they are linked or integrated with the Service.
A link, product mention, or integration does not necessarily mean PlanSama endorses or guarantees that third party. Review the relevant provider’s information before relying on it or completing a transaction.
16. Service availability and changes
We may add, improve, update, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, planning packs, recipes, integrations, or other parts of the Service. We may also correct errors, update ingredients, change recommendations, or remove content that is outdated, unsafe, unavailable, or no longer supported.
We aim to keep PlanSama available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent storage, compatibility with every device, or that every feature will always remain available. Maintenance, security events, third-party failures, internet problems, and circumstances outside our reasonable control may interrupt the Service.
You should keep your own copy of any plan, list, receipt, or information you need for an upcoming event. Do not rely on PlanSama as the only place where time-sensitive information is stored.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using PlanSama at any time. Where account controls are available, you may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, failed to pay an amount due, misused paid content, or interfered with the Service or another user.
Where reasonable, we will try to provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. We may act immediately when necessary to prevent harm, protect users, preserve security, or comply with a lawful requirement.
Provisions that by their nature should continue after access ends will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions.
18. Service disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. PlanSama does not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, suitable for every person, or guaranteed to produce a particular result.
We do not warrant the availability, quality, safety, price, ingredient composition, allergen status, delivery, or suitability of groceries, equipment, services, or other items supplied by third parties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
19. Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PlanSama and its owners, team members, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, missed events, wasted ingredients, or replacement costs arising from or related to the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlanSama’s total liability for claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to PlanSama for the product or service giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the event giving rise to liability; or (b) 100 USD or its equivalent in your local currency.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including any liability that applicable law requires us to accept. Different jurisdictions provide different rights, so some limitations may not apply to you.
20. Your responsibility to PlanSama
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PlanSama and its owners, team members, affiliates, contractors, licensors, and service providers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your material breach of these Terms, content you submit, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
This section does not require you to indemnify PlanSama for its own fraud, willful misconduct, or responsibility that cannot lawfully be transferred to you.
21. Questions and disputes
Most concerns can be resolved quickly. Before beginning formal proceedings, please contact [email protected] with a clear description of the issue and the outcome you are requesting. We will review the concern in good faith.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue available remedies before a court or other body with lawful jurisdiction. These Terms do not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief where necessary to protect security, intellectual property, or legal rights.
Mandatory consumer rights and dispute procedures that apply where you live remain available to you.
22. General terms
Entire agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any additional terms presented for a specific feature or purchase form the agreement between you and PlanSama regarding the Service.
Severability
If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
No waiver
A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written permission. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, sale of assets, financing, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.
Electronic communications
You agree that notices and communications related to the Service may be provided electronically, including through the website, your account, or the email address associated with your account or purchase.
Events outside reasonable control
PlanSama is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside its reasonable control, including internet or utility failures, natural events, labor disruptions, government action, supplier failures, cyber incidents, or widespread service outages.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to PlanSama, our business practices, legal requirements, safety needs, or new features. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
When a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.
24. Contact us
